The goal of the AheadMG Delivery Team is to establish an industry-leading Solutions Architecture function, providing next-generation internal and client systems and solutions.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the design, development and delivery of high-quality technology solutions that support AheadMG’s internal products and client engagements. Working within the Solutions Architecture function, the role plays an important part in building reliable, secure and maintainable systems, helping to translate business requirements into effective technical outcomes across the software development lifecycle.
AI-infused ways of working
AI is built responsibly into how we work, not bolted on. In this role, expect to use AI coding assistants and related tooling across the development lifecycle, with the potential to help build AI-enabled features into our products. We expect AI to be used responsibly and critically: output is always reviewed, tested and understood, and remain compliant with security, data protection and intellectual-property obligations at all times.
Responsibilities
As a graduate, you’ll build up to these responsibilities through training and mentorship from senior engineers within the business, taking on increasing ownership as your skills grow.
- Build and maintain features across our technology stack: writing SQL, developing Python services and data pipelines, and creating React components and interfaces.
- Work within our CI/CD pipelines: version control, automated builds, automated testing and frequent, safe deployments.
- Use AI tooling thoughtfully as part of day-to-day development – to accelerate delivery, while always reviewing, testing and understanding the output.
- Contribute to data integration work – moving, transforming and reconciling data between financial systems.
- Collaborate in an agile team and engage with consultants and, over time, clients to understand requirements and deliver against them.
About you
- Strong problem-solving skills and a real appetite to learn.
- Keen to be part of a rapidly growing mid-size consultancy with ambitions to be a market leader in this space.
- Solid programming fundamentals and the ability to pick up Python and React (we don’t expect you to know our whole stack on day one).
- Exposure to, and genuine interest in, AI and machine learning concepts.
- An understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle – version control, testing and working as part of a team on a shared codebase.
