As part of its continued platform evolution, a large, international financial services group with roots dating back close to 200 years progressed a significant platform enhancement within its GBST Composer software with support from AheadMG. The enhancement supported it’s wider ambition to strengthen scalability, investment governance, and adviser capability. Best described as a major provider of life insurance, pensions, and asset management solutions, this company partnered with AheadMG to provide supplementary specialist expertise across testing and delivery. With a long-standing relationship in place, AheadMG worked alongside it’s internal teams to help maintain pace while reinforcing quality and oversight throughout the release cycle.
The changes provide the company and its customers with enhanced platform functionality, further strengthening its go-to-market proposition. Given its importance within their wider technology roadmap, the business chose to supplement its internal delivery capability with additional Composer expertise to support thorough validation aligned to both technical and operational requirements.

The engagement focused on four priorities:
- Requirements Building – Three AheadMG change programme specialists led the development of the programme requirements for the platform enhancement, laying the groundwork ahead of project initiation.

- Structured oversight and reporting – Clear reporting structures and milestone tracking supported informed decision-making across programme and senior stakeholder groups, providing transparency throughout the release cycle.
- Future release readiness – Reusable regression assets and documentation were created to support ongoing platform development, helping maintain consistency across future enhancements.
